Spider push-up on Sun exercise is an extremely advanced whole body exercise. It incorporates almost every muscle in your body as well as your stabilizer muscles.

How to do a Spider Pushup on Sun:

Get in a standard push-up position with your feet resting on a stability ball. Lower your body until your nose touches the floor while simultaneously bringing one  knee up to one arm. Push off of the floor coming to starting position. Repeat on the other side.

Muscle group worked:

Spider push-up on Sun exercise strengthens the entire body. There is no way that this exercise could be considered to isolate one muscle group.

Target Repetitions for Muscle Growth: 6-8

Target Repetitions for Muscle Tone/Endurance: 8-12

Why a Spider Pushup on Sun works:

Spider push-up on Sun exercise builds tremendous strength primarily for two reasons. The first is because of the angle of your body. The angle shifts weight to your upper chest. The second reason is because your feet are on a stability ball. The stability ball shifts and moves about which makes it more difficult for your muscles to maintain control.

Tips: Since this exercise incorporates the stability ball the greatest that that I can offer is to keep focus throughout this exercise. Most problems occur when you lose focus which makes it easier to fall.

Important!: Breathe out as you push back up away from the floor. Breathe in as you lower yourself down.

Welcome! The purpose of A Shot of Adrenaline is twofold. The first is physical. I am extremely passionate about body weight exercises and helping others transform their bodies with body weight routines. Here at SOA, I write articles and publish videos with the goal of helping you do that.

The second purpose is to share my personal story. By the time I was 13 I had developed an insatiable desire to understand why we are here. After over a decade of spending endless hours in zen meditation and traversing the plains of Atheism, Buddhism, Baha'i, New Age and Shamanism, I was brought to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
