Water Ball Walking – Work Out While Walking on Water

by Todd Kuslikis on January 04, 2012

There’s a new way of building strength, endurance and balance and it involves walking on water! Of course, nobody we know of can actually walk on water without the use of any tool or equipment. In water ball walking, all you need is a giant bubble ball of air and you’re all set. This is a form of exercise that lets you work out and have fun at the same time.

How Does Water Ball Walking Work?

A water ball is a transparent plastic ball that allows you to float or walk on water. It’s basically a flotation device. There’s a zipped opening where you get in, then somebody blows up the bubble with air and zips it close. And you’re all set. You can run, roll, walk and jump while floating on the water.

Water ball walking can be a great workout because balancing and controlling the water ball is not as easy as it looks. You need tremendous focus and balance to control your position inside the water walking ball and to keep from falling.

Is Water Ball Walking Safe?

Water ball walking is safe when used the right way. The key is to regularly change the air inside the ball every few minutes. It is also always better to have someone looking out for you while you’re inside the water ball. Well, you can’t inflate and zip up a water ball by yourself so you practically have no choice in the matter. You will always need someone to help you with the water ball. You also need that someone to make sure that the air inside your water ball is changed every few minutes.

Water ball walking is fun and exciting and it is already popular in amusement parks and even in backyard pools, but there is also some concern surrounding its safety. There is the worry that someone can suffocate, drown or injure himself while inside the water ball. Manufacturers of the water ball say that the water balls are safe when used properly.

Water ball walking should be treated like any other type of exercise or physical activity wherein safety is a primary concern and people should always use the right equipment in the right way.

About Todd Kuslikis

Todd Kuslikis is a trainer that lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan. There are many fitness sites online but many of them claim that the only way you can get bigger and stronger is through lifting weights. Todd whole-heartedly disagrees with this and believes that body weight exercises can be just as, if not, more effective than weights for building strength.

Hi, I’m Todd!

Welcome! The purpose of A Shot of Adrenaline is twofold. The first is physical. I am extremely passionate about body weight exercises and helping others transform their bodies with body weight routines. Here at SOA, I write articles and publish videos with the goal of helping you do that.

If you have a specific or personal question I am happy to help. I read and answer every email I receive. Feel free to contact me here: todd@ashotofadrenaline.net.

The second purpose is to share my personal story. By the time I was 13 I had developed an insatiable desire to understand why we are here. After over a decade of spending endless hours in zen meditation and traversing the plains of Atheism, Buddhism, Baha'i, New Age and Shamanism, I was brought to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." - John 14:6

This site is a public proclamation of my faith in Him that saves. If this offends you, I welcome you to read my story and learn about the experience that brought me to Jesus.

Build Muscle Without Using Weights?

Bodyweight Overload is a 6 week program that I created that helps people build muscle while using only body weight exercises. It incorporates principles of Angular Training and Bodyweight Distribution to overload the muscle and stimulate growth. The above picture shows my results after 2 months on the program.

You CAN build muscle without weights, you just need to know how to do it.

John Adams gained 1 inch to his arms and 2 inches to his chest in only 6 weeks.

Joe Gibson lost 13 lbs and gained an inch of muscle To his chest in just 6 weeks.
