According to the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports & Nutrition, only less than 5% of adult Americans participate in 30 minutes of physical activity each day.
That’s sad because there’s a whole world of fitness that most people haven’t glimpsed. There’s a whole bunch of people out there doing crazy things that push the very limits of fitness, and there’s no reason anyone can’t join them if they work hard enough.
If people put in enough effort, they can make their bodies do anything.
Or can they?
The human body is amazing
But it has its limits
Here are seven exercises that are either impossible or close to impossible and seven attempts at them that are either hilarious or awe inspiring.
1) ONE HANDED SUPERMAN PUSH UP
Superman pushups are hard as it is. Even a legend like Jack Lalanne took him two arms to do them. Then we have this guy here who’s doing superman push ups casually in a polo shirt like it’s no biggie.
2) ONE ARM MUSCLE UP
Muscle ups are no joke. Conor Mcgregour, The Notorious himself, lost a two- arms muscle up challenge.
3) ONE FINGER PUSH UP
Most people can’t do ten push ups with good form, using their ten fingers and their palms. This guy does 41 push ups on one finger in 30 seconds.
4) ONE ARM HAND STAND PUSH UP
A handstand push up is basically an arm squat, which is crazy if you think about it. An arm pistol squat? Forget about it!
This guy gave it a decent shot though.
5) CLOSE TO IMPOSSIBLE
This might as well be called “impossible.” Most people maintain that a true close to impossible has never been done. The idea is to do a vertical pushup hanging from a bar with your arms parallel to the ground.
This doesn’t stop people from trying.
6) PUSH UP TO STANDING
There are all kinds of clap push ups out there, all of them require a tremendous amount of explosive power. Some people have even been able to do one arm clap push ups. But does anyone have enough explosive power to push themselves into a standing position?
This looks pretty legit.
7) NO ARMS PUSH UP
Hey it’s Russia, nothing is impossible.
