Diamond kiss push-up is a great exercise for developing strength and your triceps and chest region and also incorporates the shoulders. Use this exercise you want to get that horseshoe look in your triceps.

How to do a Diamond Kiss Pushup:

Get in a standard push-up position but place your hands more in line with your face as opposed to your chest like a normal push-up. Your fingers are going to be in the shape of a diamond. Lower yourself down with your elbows flaring out, until your nose touches the area inside the diamond. Push yourself back up. Repeat.

Muscle group worked:

This exercise works the triceps and chest muscles.

Target Repetitions for Muscle Growth:

6-8

Target Repetitions for Muscle Tone/Endurance:

8-12

Why Diamond Kiss Pushups work:

diamond kiss push-up works so well because you’re putting an extra amount of strain on your triceps because of the position that they are in.

Tips:

Make sure that you keep your elbows pointed out during this exercise. It’s also important to make sure that your body is in a straight line. If you start to let your pelvis region sink down then that means that your form is going.

Important!: Breathe in as your body lowers down, breathe out as you push back up.

    Todd,
I jut tried the week one for the first time and I am dying. I am concerned though, ATM i feel more sore (sorer?) in my right arm, I think I used good form. Is this normal. And for the Diamond Kiss and Frog push up I was able to do 2. Is that okay? I am 18 and this is my first time working out in a while.
    Thanks

      Hi Mike,

Soreness is perfectly normal. You have nothing to worry about. And two diamond kisses for a beginner is phenomenal.

      Keep it up, man!

I did few counts to check how is it really done but I am feeling little stress in my wrists sometime. Does it really about the form or generally some extra pressure goes in the wrists?

“Diamond kiss push-up is a great exercise for developing strength and your triceps and chest region” should be “Diamond kiss push-up is a great exercise for developing strength in your triceps and chest region”

Directly under “Why Diamond Kiss Pushups work:” the next sentence should be capitalized.

Hi Todd, I’m glad to see you’re still working hard on the body Weight program.
I just wanted to give you a heads up about some of your downloadable videos, there are a couple missing from the file I was sent.

All 3 of the videos are from the Upper Body Exercises, they are:

    Barbwire Pushup
    Condensed Pushup
    Daimond Kiss Pushup

Would you send me these three videos when you get the chance? There are other people who are going to download your program, I thought this would help.

    Hope things are going well!

    From, Conor Sheehy
