The Love Handle Lifter Workout (Ab Challenge Thursday)

Love handles are always a challenge to shred down if you don’t know how to do it. Today I bring you a great love handle workout called “The Love Handle Lifter”. There are three exercises all targeting the obliques.

As you can see by the photo I have a special guest joining me today. Emma will be learning how to do the exercises as well so give her a big SOA welcome.

She actually is already starting to sit up on her own which we are pretty excited about (Yup, I’ve officially turned into one of those parents that gush over every little thing their child does.).

I just can’t help it when my daughter is pretty much a spitten image of me. My wife says that she has two Todds. 🙂

*Note before we get into the workout I must again stress that diet is king to losing those love handles. As Tony Horton says, “Abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.”

It totally agree with this statement.

So why do a love handle workout?

We want to accelerate the process of developing our musculature in our core so the only way we can do that is by working out. The more you work out a certain area the more the muscles will develop. If you add solid nutrition to that mix than you’ll really see those love handles vanish.

The Love Handle Lifter Workout

 
We’ll be doing 3 sets of 3 exercises for this workout.

Set 1:
Right Donkey Ups – Go to full fatigue (meaning you can’t do any more)
Left Donkey Ups – Go to full fatigue
Plank – 1 minute
-1 minute rest-

Set 2:
Right Donkey Ups – Go to full fatigue
Left Donkey Ups – Go to full fatigue
Plank – 1 minute
-1 minute rest-

Set 3:
Right Donkey Ups – Go to full fatigue (meaning you can’t do any more)
Left Donkey Ups – Go to full fatigue
Plank – 1 minute

    Hello Emma and Todd. I enjoyed your exercise video. I let Todd do my workout while I enjoyed watching Emma. Best way to use an exercise video! : )
