The Ruby Chest Workout

In ancient times, rubies were laid under the foundation of buildings to bring them good fortune.

I’m not sure about the buildings, but I bet a few archeologists have seen good fortune as a result of this practice.

19th-century American businessman P.T. Barnum once said “the foundation of success in life is good health: that is the substratum fortune.”

I believe the jewels of health and fitness are essential foundations for a life of happiness and fortune.

This workout is to be used to build a strong foundation for the entire upper body.

The workout consists of three push-up variations that will leave your chest and triceps redder than the reddest ruby.

So go ahead and grab your copy of the workout sheet and get to it!

INSTRUCTIONS

Do each exercise for the specified amount of reps, rest for 30 seconds, then move to the next exercise.

Once you finish one round, rest for 1 minute. Do 4 rounds total.

EXERCISES

ADVANCED MODIFICATIONS

Try to go to failure with each exercise.

BEGINNER MODIFICATIONS

For triangle push-ups, your hands don’t have to be touching, just have them as close to each other as possible.

For wide push-ups, have your hands as wider than shoulder-width as possible, even if only slightly so.
